Description

Well this was inspired by a drawing of a Rhino I saw on 's page. [link] . the beautiful drawing was of a photo that they took while they were at the zoo. Well after stareing for a while (give or take 15 or 20 minutes) I started thinking I should work from more photos that I have taken as well. So i imediatly rushed to this big box of photos I have of horses from over the years and eventualy found this one with five horses lazily standing around in there pature. After tryuphantly holding the picture up for everyone in the empty room to see I dashed off and started sketching it. Now I was an artist on a mission so with my trusty new glasses that now gave me better sight and my handy dandy fist full of different well used pencils, blending sticks and earasers I set to work.

Gosh that paragraph was fun to type. Well this is probably going to eventualy end up as a guift to the person who owns these horses. She has been a good friend of mine for many years and just reasently had to put down the horse on the right who was named Jake. I know it will mean a lot to her.

I have desided to enter this in 's equine contest.

well, like most of your works, this is a lovelly pic... nice shading and anatomy and all that, and I ESPECIALLY like how you managed to capture the rightmost horse staring streight at the viewer... it actually looks beautifull... I say this because when I usually see horses streight from the front they kainda look ugly, even in real life... The only thing that kianda stands out is the leftmost horse's main wich contrasts a bit too much with the rest of his body's overall shading... but that might just be me.

ANyways, I was wondering if you could possibly stop by my page and give me sme tips on how to improve my own drawings... any help would be apreciated...
