I first learned about Matalina 4 days ago while job hunting. I cant begin to explain all of the details that lead to me meeting up with her care taker before me because there are far too many things that just fell into place for me to talk to this lady. All that I can say is somehow, while dropping off a resume at PetSmart, I started talking to a lovely older woman, who had recently found a cat wondering around down town. The lady told me that she had spent the last few weeks trying to find the cats owner. This included going house to house, knocking on doors, putting up flyers and paying for adds in the newspaper about this cat. She was giving herself three more days, and then she had to take the cat to the pound. Her grandson was allergic and so, she couldnt keep her.
To make an even longer story much shorter, I have her right now. Mom and I are working out expenses for vet bills and once I have work going I will fully take them on. Until then, mom is splitting her expenses with me. For the last few months, I honestly havent been sure that I was ready for another cat. Not after loosing Mikey to the stroke, but mom and I decided that we couldnt let Matalina go to the pound.
It has only been a short time that we have had Matalina with us. We are currently spoiling her and thanks to her explorative nature and all, she has learned the word no very quickly. Surprisingly, she is a good fit into our family.
Matalina is the most beautiful cat I have seen in a long time. She is a tiger with light green eyes and her body is long and narrow, giving her a sleek look with a long nosed face. When she runs its like shes still getting use to her long legs because its like her body floats while her legs go all over the place.
She really just was meant to be.
