I was just looking for something different to do. Plus I miss drawing so many equines. In my search for something to do a few days ago I found a scratch board that I had bought a long time ago. I took it out and started playing. (Ideally I should have made a thumb nail or something before just digging in.) however this is what came out. No visual references other then the memory of what my friends Tennessee walker, Abe, looks like and I’m sure I don’t have his facial markings right for me to call it a portrait of him. Still I’m happy. I may have to go looking for more scratch boards to buy or, better yet, a way of making them. I’ve tried making them with wax and ink in the past but they never turned out right.

Because of their cost, this scratch board is only 5 by 7 inches. It came with a pattern but I created my own. I hope you people enjoy.
